Norman Murray CBE CA FRSE

Norman is the senior partner of the Grant Woodlands Partnership which owns and manages the family’s sustainable and conservation enterprise in Perthshire.

He is chair of  the ICAS Foundation which provides bursaries and a mentor to socially disadvantaged young people who have the talent and ambition to attend university to study for a degree in finance. He is also a trustee of the Air Cadet Charity which provides grants to the RAF Air Cadets and is Chair of the GWC Endowment Trust which manages funds to provide assisted places at the school. All of these activities are involved in youth development which is a particular interest. He is a graduate of Heriot-Watt University and an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

Norman has spent his working life in international business .  He has chaired two FTSE 100 companies , is a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland , a former Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association , a Freeman of the City of London and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2015 He received a CBE in 2022 for services to the arts.
