Pinhole Photography
Learn the art and science of turning light into pictures in this fun, hands on workshop.
Ever wondered how a camera works? How can a tin with a hole in it can turn light into pictures? Join Alasdair in this fun educational workshop.
Working from his walk-in camera obscura, Alasdair will be hosting a pinhole camera workshop during which participants can take pinhole photographs and develop them.
No experience is necessary, all ages welcome - children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
All equipment will be provided. The workshop is free, and donations/pay-what-you-can would be appreciated to cover material costs.
The workshop will be held in Aladair's pop-up camera obscura close to the boathouse by the side of Airthrey Loch.
About Alasdair
Alasdair works with traditional and digital photography processes, often combining them to create strongly aesthetic pieces. Preferring handmade, improvised cameras to expensive, technical equipment, he is also a firm believer that all phone-cameras offer unparalleled potential for everybody to produce great images.
