Hopetown 2040 - Tackling a 'Tomorrow Problem'

Share a link

Come and play a serious game about tackling the ‘tomorrow problem’ of healthy ageing. Players will join teams to make decisions about services, housing and care for the residents of Hopetown.

This event will be a fun way to experience the challenges and solutions of developing communities that support healthy ageing, which is a ‘tomorrow problem’ that will affect us all!

Serious games provide a way for diverse groups to creatively explore problems and together produce solutions that allow people to step outside their everyday roles.

Who’s leading the event?

The event will be led by Professor Vikki McCall and Professor Alasdair Rutherford, and run by the social enterprise Socialudo.

Who is the event for?

The game is open to everyone – we are all ageing! It's aimed at adults, but younger participants aged 12 to 15 are welcome to join if accompanied by an adult.

Anyone who would like to help think about how we can tackle the challenges of creating age-friendly communities for the future, and have fun doing it, should come along.
