Viewing Rooms
Viewing Rooms is a series of Open Store events, held by the University Collections, with the aim to make our accredited collection more accessible to the public. During each Viewing Rooms events, we choose a theme and bring works out from the Store, along with their corresponding archive material. Public, students and staff are all welcome to come and browse these works, and learn more about the 'behind the scenes' work of the Collection.
RSA 200
This January, we will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Royal Scottish Academy. The Collection holds around 50 works of art by RSA Academicians from Elizabeth Blackadder RSA to Adrian Wiszniewski RSA. A selection of this varied work will be available to view from 11am -3pm and we warmly invite you to pop in, peruse and celebrate the bicentenary of the RSA and the artists that have shaped the Academy and the University Collection.
This event is part of Celebrating Together, a national programme of exhibitions, performances, talks and special events led by partners in museums, galleries, universities and community spaces to mark the 200th anniversary of the Royal Scottish Academy.
