Come and celebrate Halloween season in partnership with Macrobert Arts Centre.

Halloween, or Hallowe'en (less commonly known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve), is a celebration observed in many countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It is at the beginning of the time in the Christian year dedicated to remembering the departed and, in popular culture, has become a celebration of horror and is associated with the macabre and the supernatural.

Popular activities during Halloween include guising (trick-or-treating), attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins or turnips into 'jack-o'-lanterns' and lighting bonfires.

Join us this year to carve or paint your own pumpkin, craft some spooky creations, and enjoy some tasty nibbles On Monday 27 October from 16:00. There are two timeslots available for this event so please only select ONE that suits you best to ensure the maximum amount of people are able to attend:

  • 16:00 to 17:30
  • 18:00 to 19:30
