Guide to your first week

Starting university is a very exciting time, and there will be lots of things to do before you start classes. That's why we've created a handy guide to help you navigate your way through your first weeks.

Staying in university accommodation?

You'll be able to choose a date and time to move into your accommodation once you've completed the induction on the accommodation portal. You'll then receive your arrivals paperwork. This shows your key collection point and arrival time, and safety instructions for you to follow before, during and after your arrival day. For student starting in September 2025 these are the key move in days:

  • Nursing and Paramedic Science students - 6 September 2025
  • Undergraduate students - 11 September 2025
  • Postgraduate students - 11 September 2025 onwards
