Abigail Sonnichsen

Abigail is a postgraduate student from the USA and is loving her course, as well as fully participating in life at Stirling.

I have loved the content taught in the modules of the MSc Marketing Analytics. I found it interesting and engaging. All of the professors and academic staff have been very helpful and understanding. Specifically, Dr Tom Kane teaching Text Analytics for Business and Marketing has been one of my top highlights of this course. He was very approachable, understanding, and there to help. You could tell he was passionate about what he was teaching and took a lot of pride in his work. Taking his module made me feel inspired and motivated.

This degree has been a necessary next step in my career with the development of AI in business. I feel like it has prepared me well for my future career. As part of the course I will be undertaking an internship to put my classroom learning into practice.

Making the most of student life at Stirling

I joined the Mountaineering Club, Pole Fitness Club, Powerlifting Club, and the Book Club Society. All of these clubs and societies truly shaped my student life at Stirling. The majority of my friends I made through these clubs. I lived off campus with a friend I met through the Mountaineering Club.

Advice for future international students

Stirling provides a supportive community through the clubs and societies that they offer. So join a club as soon as you can when you arrive at Stirling! I have made lifelong friends and tried so many new things through these opportunities.
