Specialist facilities
Students study in a stimulating environment with access to state-of-the-art kit, a modern suite of media facilities for radio and television production. There’s also opportunities to be part of our campus television, filmmaking and radio stations.
Film and Media Studies research
Film and Media research at the University of Stirling is carried out by the Communications, Media and Culture research group. 100% of our research environment and 88% of our overall research in Communication, Cultural and Media Studies was classed as world leading or internationally excellent in the Research Excellence Framework 2021, positioning us 2nd in Scotland overall for our research.
Our work encompasses research into screen and print media, digital and social media, public communication and promotional culture, heritage and archives.
