Exhibition Preview Tour for Staff

University of Stirling staff are warmly invited to the preview tour of the new Pathfoot Exhibition Series before semester kicks off.

As you may know, each academic year the Art Collection chooses a theme which informs the Pathfoot exhibitions and public programmes, inspired by the research at the University.

In the next academic session, 2026-27, the chosen focus will be Topography. Exhibitions and events will consider the arrangements of natural and artificial structures and how artists and researchers work to make sense of our changing landscapes. Exhibitions in Pathfoot will explore the North as a concept for artistic and scientific discovery, geological formations, use of landscape as an artistic medium and notions of water. The shows will feature work by prominent Scottish artists such as Sam Ainsley, James Morrison and our previous Artist in Residence Jess Holdengarde.

Our tours are very informal and you don't need to know anything about the Collection (or art) to come along. Whether you've never ventured over to Pathfoot before, or you simply want to know what you'll be passing every day, you will be made to feel most welcome.
