About me

I am a Housing Studies Charitable Trust fellow, working at the intersection of housing and migration studies. My ESRC-funded PhD focussed on privatised asylum accommodation in the UK. For the HSCT Fellowship, I am working on a new project on concerning the drafting and conceptualization of Scottish housing legislation and legislation closure faced by migrants.

Prior to my Fellowship, I worked as a research assistant on the Stirling-based Intersectional Stigma of Place-based Ageing (ISPA) Project. I have also worked as the Evictions Caseworker for the Asylum Seeker Housing (ASH) Project in Glasgow and as a legal intern at JustRight Scotland.

I am a qualitative researcher interested in:

  • legal geographies
  • housing and migration law
  • asylum reception and accommodation
  • the role of abstraction in law and capital
