About me
I am a first-year PhD student in Biological and Environmental Sciences, focusing on improving water monitoring using a novel radar drone. Beyond water monitoring, my research also explores the drone’s potential in applications such as soil moisture estimation, peatland health, biomass measurements, crop detection, and wildlife monitoring.
Prior to starting my PhD, I completed a BSc in Environmental Geography and an MSc in Earth Observation and Geoinformation Management. Throughout my studies, I focused on satellite remote sensing, with a particular emphasis on radar technologies. I have developed expertise in working with various satellite radar platforms, including Sentinel-1, CryoSat-2, and SWOT.
I am now applying my remote sensing skills to platforms closer to the ground exploring new opportunities in environmental monitoring.
Outside of my research, I enjoy playing tennis, hill-walking, and drone flying (all weather permitting)!
