Abstract
This editorial reflects on the new role of Media Editor and details the kind of creative work we are looking to publish in Crime, Media, Culture, as well as providing some guidance on submissions. It contextualises this initiative within a discussion of the growth of arts-based approaches within higher education, and of their affordances for research in the social sciences. It also reflects on the body of creative work published by the journal since its inception, which has now been organised into a collection: the ‘Creative Submissions Index’ and made free to access. The editorial discusses how the collection both illustrates the public and criminological issues of the times, and demonstrates a collective desire to make injustice visible and reframe the way we think about crime, media, and culture.
