Kings Camps at University of Stirling - Summer 2026
Kings Camps operate activity camps for children at 50+ venues across the UK and Europe, creating active and meaningful opportunities for students, swimming and sports professionals to work with children aged 5 - 17.
The not-for-profit organisation is seeking outgoing and energetic personalities to work at its University of Stirling camps this summer with a range of coaching, swim and leadership roles available for Stirling students to apply for.

Casual roles at University of Stirling Sport
We have a number of casual employment opportunities to join the team and actively recruit throughout the year. Example roles are outlined below.
Sport Attendant
The role of sport attendant requires an STA or NPLQ pool lifeguard qualification as it will involve safe monitoring of the swimming pool environment. The priority of the attendant is to ensure the facilities are well presented, safe for use, and to provide an excellent customer service across all facility areas.
Sport Assistant
There are no formal qualifications required for the role of sport assistant. You need to be willing to go the extra mile, be a hard worker and be passionate about the importance of providing excellent customer service. The key priority for this role is to ensure all facilities are maintained, prepared, and in turn deliver an excellent customer experience.
Receptionist
There are no formal qualifications required for this role, but you must display an exemplary level of customer care and communication skills. The fundamental role of the receptionist is to welcome & support all members, students, staff, community and campus visitors to the sports facilities. You should be able to retain vast amounts of information, have an open and flexible approach to your duties and be enthusiastic and engaging with people.
Fitness Officer
This role requires a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification as a minimum. It would be desirable to also hold, or be working towards, a Level 3 Personal Training qualification. To be successful in the role you should be passionate about supporting and developing others to achieve their health and fitness goals. The key priority of this role is to provide motivation, engagement and encouragement to fitness users.
Swim Teacher
The role of a swim teacher requires the Scottish Swimming Teaching Qualification (SSTQ) or equivalent. The fundamental purpose of this role is to plan and deliver a series of progressive, high-quality and well-structured swimming lessons to children and adults.
Tennis Coach
An LTA Assistant qualification is required for this role. You should be able to demonstrate some experience delivering LTA Youth sessions in line with the LTA pathway. To deliver sessions on your own, including to adults, you should have an LTA Instructor qualification. All instructors should have LTA accreditation.
Student Sport Activity Leader
The Student Sport Activity Leader will assist with the delivery of high quality, well-structured recreational sport sessions for our Student Sport programme. Your role will be to ensure the sessions are set up, registers are taken, and students have some structure and guidance provided to ensure the sessions are enjoyable, safe and inclusive for all. There are no formal qualifications required for this role.
Club Coach
You should hold a recognised sport governing body coaching qualification or sports leadership award for this role. Club coaches will plan and deliver sessions to student athletes.
Official / Umpire / Referee
Sport competition would not happen without the individuals to enforce the rules and judge on matters arising from the play/performance. You should hold a sports governing body officials’ certificate for these roles or have experience carrying out the duties.
