Flexible undergraduate degrees
At Stirling we offer a wide range of single and combined degree options. On many of our courses, you may also have opportunities to study subjects beyond your main degree subjects.
This flexibility is available on many of our courses, while other more vocational degrees that are aimed at specific careers (e.g. nursing, paramedic science, social work, and education) do not follow the flexible structure.

Our undergraduate degrees are based on modules. See how you'll be taught and assessed, and how you earn degree credits.
You can study many of our undergraduate courses part-time. As a part-time student, you can progress at a pace which suits you – taking either one or two modules at a time and starting in September or January.
The University of Stirling is committed to enabling students from all backgrounds to achieve their full potential. We believe that everyone has the potential to succeed and actively encourage applications from non-traditional groups. There are a number of routes to degree study available depending on your background and what you want to study.
Our Access Courses are for anyone who wants to study an undergraduate degree course, but have few or no formal qualifications or have been out of full-time education for more than three years. Successful completion of the course guarantees a place on a number of degree courses at the University of Stirling.
